Cielo M. Hernandez

Cielo was appointed Regional CFO for Maersk Line - North America in February 2015, to lead all Finance activities and drive Business Performance, with a primary focus on Sales and Commercial functions with a more specific emphasis on performance metrics and leading indicators, as part of the Maersk Line Regional Leadership Team.

She joined the AP Moller Group in 2013 as Regional CFO Latin America for APM Terminals (APMT) bringing her Finance, Operations, Information Systems expertise from her previous roles.  While working at APMT, Cielo directed and developed the strategy for APMT Latin America and provided strategic and functional support to the existing business in Latin America and all business development activities throughout the region. 

Prior to APM Moller-Maersk Group, she worked for 21 years with different companies including AMCOR Rigid Plastics, a global manufacturing company in which she has held positions of increasing responsibilities such as Regional CFO for Mexico, Central America and Caribe, Operations Finance Director, Chief Compliance Office for Latin America where she directed compliance audits across functional areas, including Sarbanes-Oxley process design, implementation and testing. Prior to joining AMCOR, Cielo held various positions with DirectTV as Controller in Colombia and later promoted to Regional Accounting Manager in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Cielo holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with International Business specialization from the University of Miami and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Santiago de Cali, Colombia. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a certification in Human Resources Talent Management.

Cielo and her husband live in New Jersey with their two children
