Monalisa Chowdhury

Monalisa Chowdhury serves as Vice President, Finance at Primerica, Inc., leading the SEC reporting, accounting policy, and stock compensation administration functions.  Prior to this role, she led the implementation of Company’s finance transformation initiative—Project FRee, which leveraged the latest PeopleSoft technology to reduce financial reporting risk, enhance traceability and transparency across core finance functions, and establish a highly capable platform for building nimble analytics and enhanced decision support.  She continued leading the charge as the head of Finance Optimization team to ensure maximum leverage of the new capabilities and optimal engagement across the greatly expanded user base, and to define a long-term roadmap for corporate finance success with technology.  

Ms. Chowdhury began her career at KPMG, LLP, where she served in the external audit practice.  In 2011, she joined Primerica’s Accounting Policy team, where she coordinated a range of highly judgmental accounting conclusions, including retrospective adoption of a major accounting change.  She progressed into leading the Company’s consolidated expense budget creation and analysis, served as the finance lead for various company-wide initiatives, and ultimately led the Company’s recent implementation of Project FRee prior to her appointment as the head of Accounting Policy and SEC Reporting. Monalisa earned her B.B.A in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia.  She holds an active CPA license in Georgia
