Renée Hornbaker

Renée joined the board of Eastman Chemical Company (EMN) in 2003 and chaired its audit committee from 2007 - 2015. She also serves on its Finance and Health, Safety, Environmental and Security Committees.  In 2014 she was invited to the board of Freeman Company, a $2 billion privately-held event management business and serves its Audit and Risk Committees.   Since 2013 she has served on the board of Tri Global Energy, a privately-held wind and solar energy business.  

She has served as CEO and President of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) North Texas Chapter since 2011 and is a Leadership Governance Fellow.   She has also served as a member of NACD’s national Risk Advisory Committee.  She is past President and current board member of Financial Executives (FEI) Dallas chapter.  Both organizations doubled their membership during her service. 

Renée was recognized by DCEO as one of “The 500 Most Powerful Dallas Business Leaders 2016”, “2014 CFO of the Year” and “2015 Excellence in Corporate Governance”.  The Dallas Business Journal named her a “2014 Women in Business Honoree” and “2013 CFO of the Year”.  Besides NACD and FEI, she is a member of Women Corporate Directors and the International Women’s Forum.   Renée received an MBA (accounting) and BA (English) from Indiana University and is a CPA.
